Rebel Souls Rescue hosts regular events throughout the year to help our dogs find homes, raise funds for veterinary care, and educate the community about bully breeds. Our events are family-friendly and open to everyone, whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, donate, or simply spend time with some incredible dogs. Upcoming Events
Spring Adoption Festival
Riverside Park Pavilion, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Our biggest adoption event of the spring season. Meet a dozen adoptable pit bulls and bully breeds, talk to our foster families, and learn about the adoption process. We will have vendor booths, food trucks, a doggy photo booth, and activities for kids. Bring your current dog for a play date in our supervised meet-and-greet area. Pre-approved adopters can take their new family member home the same day.
Yappy Hour Fundraiser
Barking Good Brewing Company, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join us for a dog-friendly evening at Barking Good Brewing Company. A portion of all drink sales will be donated to Rebel Souls Rescue. Enjoy live music, a silent auction featuring donated items from local businesses, and the chance to meet some of our adoptable dogs. This is a 21+ event, but well-behaved dogs of all ages are welcome on the patio.
Paws in the Park: BSL Awareness Walk
Downtown Greenway Trail, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Walk with us to raise awareness about breed-specific legislation and show the community that bully breeds are loving family dogs. This one-mile walk is open to all dogs and their humans. Registration includes a commemorative bandana for your dog, a t-shirt for you, and a goodie bag. Prizes awarded for best dressed dog, longest ear, and biggest smile. All proceeds support our BSL advocacy efforts.
Summer Splash Adoption Day
Lakefront Dog Park, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Beat the heat at our summer adoption event. We are setting up splash pads and kiddie pools for the dogs, plus shaded rest areas for humans. Meet our current roster of adoptable dogs, fill out applications on the spot, and watch our dogs show off their swimming skills. We will also be offering microchipping for your existing pets at a reduced fee.
Volunteer Orientation and Training
Community Center Room B, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Interested in volunteering with Rebel Souls Rescue? Attend our quarterly orientation session to learn about volunteer opportunities including fostering, event support, transport driving, administrative help, and fundraising. No experience necessary, just a love for dogs and a desire to make a difference. Light refreshments provided. Please RSVP through our contact page.
Back-to-School Supply Drive and Adoption Event
Westside Community Center, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We are partnering with local schools for a combined back-to-school supply drive and dog adoption event. Bring school supplies to donate and meet our adoptable dogs. Kids can participate in a dog safety education workshop where they learn how to properly approach, pet, and interact with dogs. This event supports both our rescue dogs and local families preparing for the school year.

Are you a local business interested in hosting a fundraiser or adoption event with Rebel Souls Rescue? We partner with breweries, pet stores, restaurants, and community organizations throughout the year to bring our dogs to new audiences and raise vital funds for their care.
Hosting an event with us is a great way to support animal rescue while driving foot traffic to your business. We handle all the logistics related to the dogs, including transport, handling, and cleanup. All we need is a dog-friendly space and a willingness to spread the word.

Past Event Highlights
Our 2024 events were a tremendous success. Our annual Fall Festival resulted in eleven same-day adoptions, a new record for a single event. The Holiday Howl fundraiser raised over twelve thousand dollars for emergency veterinary care. And our ongoing Paws and Coffee meetups at local cafes have introduced hundreds of community members to adoptable dogs in a relaxed, casual setting.
