Rescue a Dog, Save a Soul: Adopt a Pit Bull or Bully Breed Today
Rebel Souls Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing pit bulls, American Bullies, and other bully breeds from shelters, neglect, and unsafe environments. Every dog that comes through our doors gets the medical care, training, and love they need to find a forever home.
Our Mission: Every Dog Deserves a Second Chance
We believe no dog should be judged by breed alone. Rebel Souls Rescue fights for the dogs that others overlook.
At Rebel Souls Rescue, we have seen firsthand how pit bulls and bully breeds are among the most misunderstood dogs in shelters across the country. These loyal, affectionate animals are too often passed over due to breed stigma, unfair legislation, and misconceptions about their temperament. Our mission is simple: rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome every dog we can.
Founded by a group of passionate animal welfare advocates, our rescue pulls dogs from high-kill shelters, owner surrenders, and cruelty cases. We provide comprehensive veterinary care including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, and any emergency medical treatment needed. Our dedicated foster network gives each dog the individualized attention and socialization they need before finding their forever family.
We also work tirelessly to educate our community about the truth behind bully breeds. Through outreach programs, school visits, and community events, we help people understand that pit bulls and similar breeds are not inherently dangerous. In fact, they consistently rank among the most affectionate, loyal, and trainable dog breeds. The American Temperament Test Society rates American Pit Bull Terriers with an 87.4% pass rate, higher than many popular family breeds.
Whether you are looking to adopt a rescue dog, become a foster parent, volunteer your time, or make a donation, there are many ways to support our cause. Why Adopt a Pit Bull or Bully Breed?
Pit bulls and bully breeds are some of the most loving, loyal, and family-friendly dogs you will ever meet. Despite decades of negative media coverage and breed-specific legislation, these dogs consistently demonstrate the kind of devotion and gentleness that makes them exceptional companions.
When you adopt from Rebel Souls Rescue, you are not just getting a pet. You are getting a best friend who has been fully vetted, temperament-tested, and often trained in our foster program. Our adoption team carefully matches each dog with the right family, ensuring a successful placement that lasts a lifetime.
We also provide post-adoption support, including training resources, behavioral guidance, and a community of fellow adopters who understand the joy of giving a rescue dog a second chance. Learn about our fight against breed-specific legislation and why these discriminatory laws hurt dogs and families alike.
